Introducing Epic Ride Weather Events
Today, we’re announcing Epic Ride Weather Events, a new platform where endurance event organizers can showcase their events with route-aware race-day weather forecasts built into every listing.
Weather shapes the participant experience long before the start line — from what to wear and carry to pacing, fueling, and expectations for the day. By helping participants arrive informed and prepared, Epic Ride Weather Events also gives organizers a better way to promote their events.
List Your Event in Minutes
Adding your event is simple. Enter the basics, then publish. Your event gets a dedicated page with event details, a route map, and race-day weather forecasts — no technical setup required.
Every listing appears on the Epic Ride Weather Events site and inside the Epic Ride Weather app, with links back to your registration page and official website. That means more visibility for your event and a better experience for participants before they even reach the start line.
“We’ve worked with Epic Ride Weather since 2019, and it’s become a real value-add for our riders as it helps them to dress appropriately to best enjoy their day. The Epic Ride Weather link is now one of the most-used features on our website in the lead-up to race day. Adding our routes and getting the updated page live was surprisingly easy — it took about three minutes.”
— Jason Calderon, Gran Fondo National Series
Weather Forecasts for Participants
As race day approaches, every listing includes detailed forecast data, including temperature, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. Participants can use that information to plan gear, nutrition, and strategy with more confidence.
For organizers, the forecasts are useful for logistics planning with staff and volunteers. They also give you something meaningful to share with registrants in pre-event emails and on social channels. To make that easier, Epic Ride Weather Events includes ready-to-use promotional materials you can copy into registration emails and social posts.
Ride With GPS Integration
If you use Ride With GPS, just paste your Ride With GPS event URL and all your routes are imported at once. They’ll appear on your public event page, linked back to Ride With GPS and paired with course-specific weather forecasts for race day.
That means participants can see the actual course and the forecast for it in one place, while organizers avoid the work of adding routes manually.
“Epic Ride Weather has been a valuable partner for us since 2020, and the new event integration is a natural extension of that: our 350+ event organizers can now pull their Ride With GPS routes directly into their event listings, so participants get forecast data tied to the actual course on race day.”
— Kevin Prentice, Director of Business Operations at Ride With GPS
Movemint Integration
If you use Movemint for event registration, your event can automatically show up on Epic Ride Weather’s Events page. There’s no extra form to fill out or separate submission process.
Riders who find your event on Epic Ride Weather can click through to register on Movemint, and riders coming from Movemint can jump straight to the forecast for that event.
This helps connect registration with the planning riders are already doing before event day.
“The ride doesn’t start at the start line. Riders are already thinking about weather, kit, and logistics in the days leading up to an event. Connecting Epic Ride Weather directly to the event helps put that information where it’s most useful.”
— Rosie Cruz, Marketing Manager at Movemint
